Four Corner Capture the Flag
Game/Task Outline
Tactical Problem: Teams must defend their flags (soccer balls) and attack other teams in order to capture the most soccer balls.
Skill development: TSWBAT use timing, space and teamwork effectively in order to capture other team's flags while at the same time protecting their own territory

Teaching points:
  • students must protect their flags and attempt to steal other team's flags and bring them back to their area
  • goal is to be the team with the most # of soccer balls in the end
  • if you are tagged, you are frozen and must be unfrozen by a teammate
  • you are only "safe" in your own team's area
     
Organizational Points: 
    • use entire gym
    • use 3 colours of pinnies and a no pinny team
    • at least 4 soccer balls per group
